Quick write: It’s Greek to me

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Of course it’s true, especially for the scribe who works to painstakingly convey the image to his reader.

  1. The sea is calm now. A lonely soul stands behind the second floor railing of one of the many blue and white shacks lining the shore. With eyes turned out toward the sea and alternately to the darkening sky the watcher keeps a vigilant search for her fisherman’s return. We whisper a prayer with them, that their loved one comes home before the rain and fury enters the harbor. It is all calm now, over the harbor waters. Everywhere but inside my soul.
