Consider this notion of the act of writing making an exact man. Serious writers understand that their craft is a precise science. Before committing a word to the page, great thought must be applied to its meaning and potential impact.

Novelists know that they must explore every pathway their characters travel for accuracy and cohesion.

Journalists understand that the integrity of their work demands accuracy and attention to detail.

And writers of all genres know that every word, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, has its place in a piece and must do its part to propel the narrative and speak to the reader.

Are you an exact writer? Have you done all you can to tie up loose ends in your current project?
